Mail in rebates - for Chips, Propane and More

This first Mail in Rebate form was found at both Martin's and Kroger's in Harrisonburg.  It's sponsored by Bud Light Beer but does not require you to purchase beer to complete the rebate.

The details of the offer are
1) It runs from 8-1-11 to 10-31-11, and you have until 11-15-11 to mail it in.
2) You will get $7.00 back in the mail when you spend $14.00 on any of the specified items, so you can mix and match or spend the whole $14.00 on one type of item.   I love this rebate - for things like potatoe chips (which come under salty snacks), ketchup, relish, mustard, pickles, (under the heading of condiments), or even a refill on your propane tank for the BBQ grill.
3) It's valid in several states including Virginia and you can even use multiple receipts to arrive at your $14.00 total.

Doing rebates such as this earns you a 50 % return on your grocery shopping for buying the things we all use everyday.

The second rebate was found at Food Lion. It's sponsored by Coors Light and is offer # 103079. It does not require you to purchase beer to complete the rebate.  It runs from 9-12-11 to 11-30-11 and the details are that you will get a $3.00 check in the mail with the purchase of any TWO (2) 8 oz or larger bags of Snyder's of Hanover Pretzels, Cape Cod Chips, Krunchers Chips or Grands Tortilla Chips OR  ANY (yes it says ANY) salty snack.   So this could be used for other types of chips or even peanuts !

This rebate is only good in MN, NY, UT, VA or WV. You must spend a minimum of $6.00 on your salty snack purchase.  Again a 50% return on your money spent.

As with all rebates you must submit your original cash register receipt(s) along with the original Mail in rebate forms.

We all love cereal and it's become very expensive - so make sure you have signed up for all the great savings available at Kellogg's  - follow the link below and registration is easy - new coupons are often available especially the First of the Month.    Kellogg's frequently sponsors great Catalina Deals offering Free Milk Coupons, when you purchase a certain number of their cereal products - so be prepared and have their coupons on hand.


Also be on the look out for those "Blinkie" boxes at your store - I found a Smartsource Blinkie machine at Food Lion with a Kellogg's Cereal Coupon worth $1.00 off any Two Kellogg's cereals, 10 oz or larger, Any Flavor, Mix or match - which is a good coupon since you can buy any Flavor of Kellogg's cereals, unlike alot of the recently published coupons which are flavor specific.

There is also a Blinkie for Free Milk - when you purchase Two Packages of Kellogg's Crunchy Nut Cereals - the maximum value of the discount on the milk is $2.50 - the blinkie expires 10-15-11 - but it is rare.  These have been sited on Ebay and found at some Kroger locations.

Don't throw Away those Cats - and learn how to get more money back at the cash register

We have all gotten those coupons when you pay your bill at the grocery store that come from the little white machine that sits beside the register.  They offer you a certain amount of money off a product or even better yet a amount of money you can spend on anything you buy,  the next time you visit the grocery store.  Sometimes, they are telling you about an upcoming deal at the store and giving the details of what you must buy to get a coupon that is good for a specific dollar amount off anything else you want to buy.   The Coupon that is good for anything is often referred to by us as "OYNO", meaning On Your Next Order.

Well that machine is called a "Catalina", because it comes from Catalina Marketing and you will often hear us couponers call the Coupon itself at "Cat".

Now these coupons come most often as a Manufactures Coupon and you will see that on the top of the coupon along with an expiration date.  If it's telling you about an upcoming deal it will spell out the details of the deal - but it won't be an actual cpn - it's just giving you information, so it's important to be able to identify what you are getting from the Catalina machine.

You can use these great offers to get additional money back on things that you are going to buy, that are already on sale, at a rock bottom price, and that you have clipped or printed coupons for and that is how you really maximize your savings.

The formula is really simple - find a great sale price, use your coupons, buy the quantity needed to satisfy the catalina deal and - get a coupon good for anything else in the store = maximized savings.

Now there are regional and national catalina deals and how you find out about them can be difficult sometimes.
Not all deals run at all stores at the same time - when you click on the links, I will provide below, you can preview and print the deals - you can see a list of the stores that are participating in the deal.   It maybe your favorite store or even a store you don't normally shop at - but if the deal is good enough - you might make a special trip.

I'm going to tell you about several deals that are presently going on or about to start and give you some links to print specific information about the deals and even give you some matching cpns to use when you buy the items.  I always recommend printing the deal information and carrying it with you in your coupon binder - that way if you have a problem when you do the deal - you have proof in hand to take to customer service.

These deals are always time specific and often size specific - so watch those details as you plan to shop. They  require you to purchase the specific quantity in a single shopping trip (ie "transaction", means each time you check out) - so if you want to earn the $2 reward for example in this first deal - you would need to purchase 3 boxes in a single transaction.  When you pay for your order the coupon you have earned will spit out of the catalina machine.  Word of advice here - before you start a transaction where you are expecting to receive at Cat - check to make sure the little green light is on on the machine - sometimes they are turned off or even out of paper - you can even ask the cashier if his/her cat machine is working today.

Remember each of these deals can be done over and over and over - earning the Cat each time.  Sometimes Catalina deals will produce multiple Cats in one transaction, but we don't always know that in advance - so unless you know for sure I would recommend buying the items in single transactions to make sure you will get a OYNO cat each time.

Remember to use your printed or clipped coupons on these items as your purchase them.  Using coupons will not effect the printing of the OYNO Cat, unless the deal states you have to spend a certain amount (Extremely rare)

Mail in Rebates in Virgina - How to get Money back in the Mail

Virginia is a wonderland full of opportunity to get money back in the mail for items you purchase.  There are lots of rebates on food items to be found. 

These rebates are found in the grocery stores, generally in the form of a tear pad and will require you to submit the form and usually a dated cash register recipt that shows your required purchases were made in the period the rebate specifies.  Sometimes you will be required to submit the UPC code from the package of the items well.

Some rebates allow you to submit multiple receipts to meet the requirements for submission.  An example of this is a rebate that might say "Get $15.00 back on your in store purchase of $100.00"  Look on the back of this type of rebate - if it says "submit recept(s)" under the requirements then you can submit as many receipts as you need to show that you have spent $100.00 - and the best part is that they don't need to be from the same store even.  So Shop at Martin's, Krogers, Food Lion and as long as you spend $100.00 in total you would get $15.00 back in the form of a check.  This is a 15% savings for doing nothing more than submitting a form.

Just the other day I found a Rebate for Meat - It's a No Beer Purchase Required rebate from Budweiser Offer # 30596- if you spend $10.01 on ANY meat - mail in the receipt and the form you will get $5.00 - That's a 50% savings on something we all buy.   So the next time you are shopping look around and see if you can find these wonderful Mail in Rebates.
